Buy Locally  -  Supporting Local Business

Recent studies have shown that a large number of home-based businesses are sprouting up especially in more rural areas.  Not just the traditional businesses such as builders, plumbers, carpenters etc but newer occupations such as webdesign to organic produce or from pottery to office services.  Some parishes in North Yorkshire have held local home-based business fairs to promote these businesses and encourage local people to utilise them. Do you run a home-based business in the Scorton, Bolton, Uckerby or Ellerton areas? Would you be interested in attending a promotional event in the village to profile your business to local people?  If you would then please pass your details on to any member of the Parish Council (see opposite page).  If there is enough interest then the Parish Council will arrange an event.
